Formula 1 races on the Las Vegas Strip Circuit on Saturday, November 21, 2026, with practice and qualifying on the two evenings before. Sessions run after dark, the circuit takes over Las Vegas Boulevard, Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane, and Strip hotel prices climb for the whole weekend.

Decide first whether you are attending or avoiding. Ticket holders should sleep on the center Strip and expect evening sessions that end near midnight. Everyone else should either book outside the closure zone or pick different dates, because Strip crossings and taxi times stretch all weekend.

The event
The Las Vegas Grand Prix is round 22 of the 2026 Formula 1 season and the only race on the calendar that runs down a resort strip after dark. The circuit is a 6.2 km street track that passes Caesars Palace, the Bellagio and the Venetian, with the start line at Grand Prix Plaza on the corner of Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane.
The weekend is built around evenings: two practice sessions on Thursday, November 19, a third practice and qualifying on Friday, November 20, and the race at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21.
How the Strip changes
The circuit takes over public streets, so Las Vegas Boulevard, Harmon Avenue and Koval Lane close in stages around the sessions. Pedestrian bridges and hotel entrances on the circuit change access patterns, and rideshare pickups move to designated zones.
If you are not attending, the cleanest answer is to choose dates before or after the race weekend, or to base off-Strip in Summerlin or Henderson and treat the Strip as a daytime visit while the track is quiet.
Tickets and timing
Tickets come from the official promoter. The 2026 sale includes one-day general admission options and payment plans for three-day tickets, with premium grandstands priced far higher; the promoter caps online orders at ten tickets.
Sessions end late and the desert cools fast after sunset in November, so plan a warm layer and a long walk back: the closure zone means the hotel that looks close on the map may be a slow loop away.
Good to know
- Center Strip hotels closest to the circuit carry the highest race-weekend rates; north and south Strip properties usually keep a walk or a short ride to the gates.
- Session times are local Pacific time; the race is Saturday night, not Sunday afternoon, which surprises visitors used to other Grands Prix.
- Confirm closures and gate opening times on the promoter's site in race week; they change year to year.
